Spacy abstract electronic suite (unfinished).
Quarter Tone Sonata

First movement of what I hope will be an interesting quarter-tone piece utilizing a nine-note whole tone scale I invented myself. Unfinished even though I gave it an opus number (58)
Pareidolia
10 mins 2006 2006
A little piano piece I haven't got around to finishing yet. Pareidolia is the phenomenon of seeing faces in clouds and ink stains etc.
Cardiff Tune
10 mins 2006 2006
A little piece I started working on while staying in Cardiff, and still haven't got round to finishing. Here's what I've got so far anyway. It's written in a strict classical style reminiscent of Mendelssohn, but strays into more modern harmonies eventually.
1MYPS or Deep Time

? ? ?
A piece I've been considering for a long time now; which could end up being another electronic "symphony". 1MYPS stands for "1 Million Years Per Second" and will deal with the evolution of life over a period of roughly 75 minutes or 4,500 seconds (which at 1MYPS equals 4,500 million years of course; the scientifically determined age of the Earth ARE YOU LISTENING, CREATIONISTS???) - on that scale, five whole minutes would be devoted to dinosaurs (300m years or 300 seconds), and the final second would have to encompass the whole evolution of Mankind! Should be interesting...
Untitled

? ? ?
A mystery project - something I've had on my mind to do for a years, but I'm not saying anything about it except that it's something to do with a piece by Mendelssohn.
Treatise

30-40 - -
An electronic work inspired by Cornelius Cardew's pictorial score for 'Treatise' (see a section here.) This would create a dilemma however; if I do actually complete this work, will it be my composition or Cardew's? Answers on a postcardew (ouch - sorry, my finger slipped, honest!)
untitled piece

10-20 - -
A piece still swirling round in the back of my mind, this will use a lot of "quotes" from various other electronic works, including the lovely synth effects from "Ghosts" by Japan, Subotnick's "Silver Apples of the Moon", Stockhausen's "Kontakte" etc. all jumbled up in an electronic potpourée. Should be interesting, when I can get around to putting it together.
Concerto for Synthesiser
1st mvt
2nd mvt

30-40
Sep 03
Mar 04
The 1st movement of this piece is an arrangement of the Piano fantasy no.3 (see below) for the Waldorf synthesiser. I'm adding more movements to make it into a full-blown concerto eventually. This blows Wendy Carlos right out of the water, as far as I'm concerned. I'm still working on this, and eventually hope to make it into a 3, 4 or even possibly 5 movement piece lasting approximately half an hour in total.
Prelude & Fugue

4:00 1979 2002
This goes way, way back to the late 70's, but I still intend to finish it off some day.
